If the State family court issues an order that the minor 

  1. Has been abused, abandoned or neglected

  2. Reunification with one or both parents in not viable 

  3. It is not in the best interest of the minor to return to their country of origin

Then we can file a petition for Special Immigrant Juvenile status then, the minor can apply for adjustment of status and become a permanent resident.  There is an additional wait period for children from Honduras, El Salvador and Guatemala.
